During the one-year compulsory service of the National Youth Service Corps, the government provides a monthly allowance to cover basic expenses from feeding, clothing, transportation and others.

Usually, when Corpers are leaving the orientation camp, the first allowance is paid in cash but the rest of the allowances are distributed through the regular payroll. In spite of doing fulfilling the necessary obligations and doing your monthly clearance, due to several challenges, some corps members may not receive their allowance as expected.

If you’re in this situation, you can write a letter requesting the release of your allowance.
