The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is a one-year compulsory program for all Nigerian graduates, aimed at promoting national unity and integration. Before a graduate can participate in the program, they must go through a series of registration processes, one of which is being included in the NYSC Graduation List.

What is the NYSC Graduation List?

The NYSC Graduation List is a list of names of graduates that have been cleared by their various institutions and deemed eligible for the NYSC program. It is a master list complied and uploaded on the NYSC website by all the tertiary institutions in Nigeria showing the names of the graduates who have been cleared and eligible to register for the NYSC mobilization registration.

What is the difference between the NYSC Graduation List and the Senate List?

The difference between the NYSC Graduation List and the Senate List is that the NYSC Graduation List shows the names of graduates who have been cleared by their departments, bursary and exams and records, while NYSC Senate List is a list of graduates approved by their respective institutions to participate in the NYSC program. This list is compiled by the universities and sent to the NYSC for verification. The NYSC then verifies the names on the Senate list and includes them in the NYSC mobilization list.

In summary, the NYSC Graduation List is a list of graduates that have been cleared by their institutions, while the NYSC Senate List is a list of graduates approved by their universities.

By implication, graduates whose names are not on any of the two lists will not be eligible to register for the NYSC mobilization registration.

How to Check Name on NYSC Graduation List

Follow the procedures below to check your name online on the NYSC graduation list:

• Go to the NYSC Portal via https://portal.nysc.org.ng/nysc1/CheckInstitutionCoursesPCMs.aspx
• Select your Batch
• Supply your Programme – College (Monotechnic), HND (Polytechnic), or 1st Degree (University)
• Select your Institution
• Select your Course of Study
• Finally, click on “Extract PCM” button to view the list
• Once you click on “Extract PCM”, the graduate list will display on the screen

Pay attention to the column, “Status”. If you have registered for NYSC before, the status will display “Registered” but if you have not registered, the status will display “Yet To Register”.
