NYSC
What is the Age Limit for NYSC?
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program is a cornerstone of Nigerian citizenship, and understanding your eligibility is important before embarking on this transformative journey.
One of the most common queries revolves around the age limit, often shrouded in a veil of confusion. Fear not, for this guide aims to illuminate the path and empower you with the knowledge to navigate the NYSC age maze like a seasoned professional.
NYSC Age Limit
NYSC operates with a simple yet strict age limit: graduates must be 30 years old or younger on the date of their graduation.
This age is calculated based on your official graduation date, not the date you receive your certificate. Even a single day exceeding this limit can result in an exemption letter instead of the coveted call-up number.
NYSC uses the date of birth you gave JAMB. They check how old you were when you graduated. NYSC is very strict. If you’re even a day over 30 at graduation, you won’t serve.
