How to Check Admission Status on JAMB CAPS Online

According to JAMB’s admission policy, it is important to accept your admission on the Central Admission Processing System (CAPS).
To officially become a newly admitted student at your school, you must accept your admission on the JAMB CAPS. This is the only way to confirm your school admission, even if you have seen your name on your portal.
After accepting your admission on the JAMB Central Processing System, you will be able to obtain your JAMB admission letter.
There are two methods to check your admission status in Nigeria:
- JAMB Central Processing System (CAPS) and
- JAMB Admission Letter Printing.
Both methods require your JAMB registration number or an SMS from a phone number linked to JAMB.
Depending on your school, you may need to accept your admission on CAPS before the admission list is released by your chosen school.
For example, the University of Nigeria releases its admission list on the university portal after uploading it on the JAMB CAPS.
By checking your JAMB CAPS, you can find out if you have been admitted to the merit list.
Some students face issues with the CAPS system, such as the non-processing of their admission. This could be due to the student’s failure to upload their O’level result or an error by the school.
If you encounter any problems with CAPS, it is important to resolve them with your school’s admission office.
Having a JAMB admission letter is crucial for many students, as it can impact their NYSC mobilization after graduation.
These steps will help you navigate the process of checking your admission status and accepting your admission.
