FUTA Cut Off Mark for All Courses 2023

In this article, I want to provide more information about the cut-off mark for the Federal University of Technology Akure (FUTA) for the 2023/2024 academic year.
If you’ve been searching for the FUTA JAMB cut-off mark or departmental cut-off marks, you’re in the right place. The university has announced the cut-off mark for this admission session, and I’ll share the details here.
It’s important to note that FUTA does not accept candidates who chose the university as their second choice. This information is for those who selected FUTA as their first choice in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and for those who are considering applying for a change of institution.
FUTA Post UTME Cut-Off Mark
The general cut-off mark set by FUTA as a benchmark for all courses offered in the institution is 180 for the 2023/2024 academic session.
This means that to be eligible to register for the FUTA POST UTME, a student must have scored at least 180 in the recently concluded JAMB examination.
However, due to high competition, it is advisable to aim for a score higher than the required cut-off mark to increase your chances of admission.
FUTA Departmental Cut Off Mark
FUTA also has departmental cut-off marks. These are specific benchmark scores set by each department to process admission.
These cut-off marks are determined by the performance of students in the POST UTME examination or screening.
Please note that the departmental cut-off marks for 2023/2024 have not been released yet. The information provided below is for the 2022/2023 session.

How to Calculate FUTA Cut Off Mark
To calculate your FUTA aggregate or screening score, follow these simple steps:
1. Divide your JAMB score by 8.
2. Divide your Post UTME score by 2.
3. Add the results of both calculations together.
For example, if you scored 200 in JAMB and 80 in the Post UTME:
200/8 = 25
80/2 = 40
Therefore, 25 + 40 = 65
It’s worth mentioning that these scores are subject to change, and the article will be updated once the official cut-off marks for the 2023/2024 admission process are released.
Stay updated for further information regarding FUTA’s departmental cut-off marks for the 2023/2024 admission process.
